Joy B. Savren

With a large portion of her practice in Family Law, as a litigator, negotiator, and mediator, Joy has extensive experience in divorce, dissolution of marriage, child custody issues, shared parenting agreements, visitation agreements, division of assets, and all the other associated components of the termination of marriage. Joy also represents same-sex couples in divorce, shared custody proceedings, real estate agreements, and dissolution of relationships where she also mediates disagreements. She has served as a Guardian Ad Litem in Domestic Relations Court and Juvenile Court to assure that the best interests of children were addressed in custody proceedings, Joy is also a Parenting Coordinator assisting high conflict families resolve custody and visitation issues. Joy also practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, and civil litigation.

  •  She served as an Acting Judge in the Cleveland Heights Municipal Court. 

  • She has served as Guardian Ad Litem in Domestic Relations Court and Juvenile Court to assure that the best interests of children were addressed. 

  • She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Family Law Section, Ohio State Bar Association, the Center for Principled Family Advocacy and Lambda Legal, where she is also a cooperating attorney, and the ACLU.

  • She is a frequent lecturer and workshop presenter on family law issues.
